Today Neighbourhood Officers from the Northfields, Tailby and Morton beat team have conducted a traffic operation along Gipsy Lane, focusing on enforcement of the FATAL 4 - These being Speeding, Drink/Drug Driving, using a Mobile Phone whilst in control of a motor vehicle, and not wearing a Seat Belt whilst driving.  

During the operation a total of 25 Traffic Offence Reports were issued.

•    24 of these were issued to drivers for exceeding the 30MPH speed limit. The highest recorded speed was 47MPH. 

•    1 of these was issued to a driver who did not hold a valid MOT certificate. 

Whilst conducting the operation Officers did have one vehicle which failed to stop, so the owner will be contacted in due course to answer for this, and for the excess speed it was travelling at.
