Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
Following a single vehicle RTC near the M69, officers attended, and the driver was arrested for driving whilst under the influence of drugs.
Vehicle stop check/search completed by officers at 01:00 on Watling Street following sightings of a suspicious vehicle.
Patrols as pictured below include Hinckley Island Hotel, Sketchley Grange, Atkins Way, Kensington Avenue, Brookside, Tilton Road Park and Salisbury Road.
There are lots of amazing Christmas decorations around Burbage as always. We will try to get some better pictures throughout the month whilst we are out and about on patrol.
Reports of road traffic collisions on Avery Way, Rugby Road and the A5. It does not appear there have been any serious injuries, but please take care when out and about on the road.
Crime prevention and issues to be aware of
Concern raised by a resident regarding dogs on Tilton Road Park and Brookside recreation ground. It appears there are several incidents where dog owners are not controlling their dogs whilst they are off the lead. Issues raised of dogs running at each other and getting “nipped”. These incidents can be frightening for other dog walkers. We ask that dog walkers are responsible and be aware of their pets behaviour before letting them off the lead.
Please consider window alarms, TV simulators and light timers. Ensure timers are set to trigger earlier due to the darker nights. See attached catalogue and pop me an email if we can be of any support. Please also ensure you are using RFID car wallets if you have a keyless car and please use steering locks.
Thank you and take care.
