A message from the beat team

Good afternoon,

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to speak with the beat team whilst we have been out on foot over the past couple of days. We would like to share our gratitude as we have been so lucky to meet so many people doing great things around our town who help and support others. We endeavour to conduct high visibility foot patrols to gather intelligence from the community, complete safeguarding checks on vulnerable persons, engage with our partners in the community and to show a greater presence in areas susceptible to anti-social behaviour.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage residents to attend our beat engagements (listed below). Attendance at these events gives us the opportunity to offer support and advice regarding current crime trends. Equally, should you wish for the Police to attend an event you are hosting, please contact us and we will make further contact with you.

Today, a meeting was held between representatives of the Community Safety Partnership, including the Police and Charnwood Borough Council, to address issues raised on the Warwick Way Estate. Please keep an eye out for a summer timetable of events that the police will be attending. Within the meeting, we discussed individuals who have been identified as causing the community most harm. I would like to offer our reassurance that these identified persons are going to be visited in the coming days by the Police and the Council where sanctions under the ASB Legislation will be given.

Upcoming beat engagements this month- we will release the dates of next months beat engagements in due course

Thursday 25th June 2024 Marios Tinenti Centre, 91 Russell Street, LE11 1BJ
