Hinckley Town Centre Beat - Weekly Update

Good morning,

Officers from the Hinckley Town Neighbourhood Team hope you have had another good week (Monday 09/09 – Sunday 15/09).

Officer have been responding to a slight increase around youth related anti-social behaviour. A number of retail premises have identified youths causing issues in the early and mid-evenings from 17.00 hours.

Officers from the beat team are working closely with retailers and persons reporting the anti-social behaviour and viewing CCTV in order to try and identify those persons causing harm in the community.

PCSO Wane and PC Smeaton have recently spoken to a few persons regarding the use of e-scooters in the town centre.

Two warnings were issued with the consideration for future seizure of the vehicles under road traffic legislation.

At present, personal owned e-scooters cannot be ridden anywhere other than private land. Please see guidance around the use of e-scooters.

On Sunday the 15/09/2024 Officers from the Town Centre Team and the Greater Hinckley Team were at the Hinckley BID car show which as ever was well attended. The car show gets bigger and bigger every year and we are really happy to be asked to attend by our partners at The Hinckley Business Improvement District (Hinckley BID)

We thank all of you who came to cat with us and have photos taken.

We hope you have a great week.
