BIRSTALL & WANLIP ROUND UP

Hello everybody.

This round up comes to you all off the back of some unfortunate turn of events in as many days, as the community has suffered residential burglaries over on the 16th and 17th of October over on the Goscote Ward. In line with previously released advice, the Local Policing Team would still very much appreciate residents to continue to secure their properties and possessions as they deem most appropriate and Leicestershire Police will continue to provide security advice should residents wish to reach out to us and inquire.

2 businesses over on Sibson Road have also suffered thefts earlier in the week but thanks to CCTV footage captured both inside 1 of the businesses and external of this business and through the community sharing information amongst themselves, the Police have been able to put names to faces and formally identify the suspects, who we are currently in the process of bringing in for questioning and the restorative process.

Antisocial Behaviour continues to be an issue in Birstall, and though it has hit the same heights as the initial school summer holidays period, continues to cause harassment, alarm and distress amongst residents and the Local Policing Team continue to conduct patrols and the local hotspots and challenge when appropriate to do so.

Please also find attached further information that may be of use to residents in relation to Burglaries and ASB.

Stay safe, stay vigilant.
