Inspector Perry Update

Neighbourhood Police Commander
Inspector Liz Perry

I am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. My focus is on proactive neighbourhood policing to protect people from harm, building strong relationships with residents, and addressing the issues that matter most to you. Our priorities include protecting the vulnerable, tackling crime and antisocial behaviour, and strengthening community ties. These are all at the heart of our efforts. I am eager to work collaboratively with you to make our community a safer, more secure place for everyone. Please feel free to reach out with any concerns or suggestions.

Highlights for the Week:

- Amy Frape has been charged with six offences relating to theft from Wigston COOP

- Adam Smeeton has been charged with six theft offences from a series of stores in Market Harborough town

- Robert Mort has been charged with four offences from shops in Market Harborough town.

- PC Bartlett responded to reports of a missing person and was able to locate the male in woodland and save his life

- I had the pleasure of attending as a guest the Market Harborough Sea Cadets Trafalgar Day Parade. For young people there are a number of cadet organisations that are an excellent way to teach your child some very valuable life skills.

- We have the upcoming ASB awareness week in November with schools visits and various community engagements planned

- A warrant was executed in Oadby whereby 120 cannabis plants were recovered, this information This operation was successful thanks to information and intelligence provided by the community. Such information is crucial for ensuring the safety of our neighbourhoods, as properties used for illegal cultivation pose significant risks to both residents and the broader community. You can report online or via Crimestoppers

- We are currently recruiting for new members for our Independent Advisory Groups, the purpose of IAGs is to facilitate genuine partnerships with local communities to encourage more active involvement of and with people from the full range of diverse groups. Applications can be found here: Independent Advisory Groups | Leicestershire Police

Priorities Remain:

- Domestic Abuse

- Speeding

- Anti-social behaviour

- Vehicle Crime
