Welcome to my monthly update for the residents and communities of the Rutland South Beat Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.

#YouSaid - What matters to you
This month we have been working hard on our local beat priorities. Alongside managing case work I have also been making inroads into supporting the Uppingham town beat, alongside my Rural North counterpart PC Jake Spruce.
Jake and I are currently looking after the Uppingham beat. From my perspective it has been massively positive so far, and we are
forming some good professional and community relationships.
Looking at the Rural South priorities then:
Road Safety - We have been promoting responsible use of the road network through our social media channels, alongside attending emergency incidents, which allows us to gather data on hotspots, and better inform us where to target our patrols.
Anti Social Behaviour - We have recently executed a seizure warrant under the dangerous dogs act and are working with the owner
as we navigate the court process. We continue to inform and signpost how to report ASB, and have also been dealing with other
existing cases with our partners.
Vehicle Crime - There has been a reactionary focus on incidents of hare coursing and associated land damage by vehicles. We
are building an intelligence picture to identify offenders. There have been overt patrols in historical hotspot areas, and an increased
focus on the A1 corridor and fuel thefts.
#WeDid - What we are doing
We continue to encourage local residents to have their say through Neighbourhood Link surveys, our aim is to keep all residents
that have signed up to this aware of issues happening in Rutland.
Our policing priorities are set every quarter following returns of Neighbourhood Link surveys, along with crime pattern analysis
data and issues highlighted by of our professional partners.
The more results we have from surveys, the better informed we are as to where to target resources.
