Melton Town North - Monthly Update: November

Dear resident,

Welcome to the Melton Town North November Monthly Update

Through November, we were grateful to see a huge decrease in reports of burglaries on the beat with only one reported to us this month. In contrast to that, we have seen quite an increase in thefts on the beat, so the beat team are working closely with businesses and increasing patrols in and around these areas to counteract this.

We've seen a small rise in public order offences, which have all been dealt with accordingly in relation to the severity of the offence.

The number of reports of Antisocial Behaviour incidents in November have also increased from October, the beat team are working hard to tackle this and are building reports to manage these, whilst working with the council to address the reoccurring incidents.

Officers have carried out stop searches and have reported a number of incidents in relation to possession of drugs. Drug use is one of the beats top priorities and we will continue to manage this through proactive patrols and stop searches.

We have also seen a large decrease in criminal damage incidents taking place on the beat. Road traffic collisions and traffic offences have also dropped significantly.

Kind regards,

PC Shane Sanderson & PCSO Natalie Dandy
Melton Town North Beat Team
