I hope you all had a nice weekend.

The last week has been a busy one for the team and especially Westcotes with a variety of enforcement action taking place.

Here is a brief summary of key events:

We continue to receive reports of Burglaries within the area, although this has significantly reduced recently due to approx 6 individuals being arrested for Burglaries in the area in the past 2 weeks. 

A joint operation took place with Trading Standards and a business premises was inspected on Narborough Road. This resulted in illegal Vapes and other products being seized. Further to this 2x People were arrested for Drug offences and a quantity of Cannabis & Nitrous Oxide were seized too.

There were X3 Search Warrants completed locally and Cannabis Grows were located and subjects arrested. These matters also present a risk to the public due to the addresses often having electricity bypassed.

A male was arrested for being ‘Drunk in charge’ of his vehicle. This type of offence relates to a person being in/near their car while intoxicated. This arrest prevented the driver from driving off and potentially causing injury to others. They were later charged with refusing to provide a breath sample.
