#YouSaid - What matters to you

Priority 1:- There have been numerous reports of ASB at Fosse Park and McDonalds, specifically with youths causing issues for shop staff and security by riding bikes through the site with no regard for safety. There have also been reports of youths being verbally abusive to staff members.

Priority 2:- Complaints have been received at various locations within the beat regarding nuisance motorbikes.

Priority 3:- Road safety issues, speeding issues and parking issues are the main focus with this being raised by a number of residents.

#WeDid - What we are doing

Local Officers attended a report of a large abandoned vehicle in Enderby. The vehicle wasn't in a roadworthy state and had been causing concern for locals in the area. The vehicle has now been removed.

Launching in December on local areas is Operation Flux which is dedicated to tackling local road safety issues. We have already identified some areas that will be targeted but also looking for other local issues such as Speeding, Weight limit breaches, Street racing, E-Scooter use, targeting drink and drug drivers and general Fatal5 issues.

We have had numerous reports of rogue traders lately in the Narborough area. Please be mindful and keep an eye on lone or elderly neighbours who may be targeted. Leicestershire County Council describe a ‘cold caller’ as '..someone who may call or visit unannounced. They may even be someone you have called who offer home improvements, may try to sell you items or sign you up to agreements. Work may often start without you asking them to do so. Prices often inflate and work is substandard if needed at all. Please stay vigilant and if in doubt call trading standards or 101.

PC Morris has been out and about and gave us a quick round up of just one of her shifts starting with attending a multi-agency meeting with Stonewater Housing Association over ongoing neighbour issues, then onto some enquiries over an abandonedmotorbike found in Narborough, some intelligence checks and then an arrest of a male for an ongoing car accident investigation. Busy, Busy, Busy.

Meet your Team - Upcoming public engagements

The festive spirits are here and we will be attending the Christmas light's switch on event in Enderby where we will be bringing a police car for children and families to come and have a look at and express any concerns or ask any questions they may have. It's also a great opportunity to meet your local beat officers.
