OPERATION SYPHON
Every time you glance at your phone behind the wheel, you’re not just breaking the law — you’re risking lives.
Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of road accidents, and using a mobile phone while driving can take your focus away for just a split second, but that's all it takes for a tragedy to happen. The text, the call, or the notification can wait. Stay alert, stay safe, and remember: no message is worth your life or the life of others on the road.
Enforcement phase for Op Syphon will begin on 2nd December 2024.
SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT
PC Makda and PCSO Cook had a stall as part of parent and carer days at Madani School. This was a great collaboration as it provided valuable insight into roles within the force.
PC Wicks was at City of Leicester College to host an open engagement with students, this also provided an opportunity to share valuable information about staying safe.
KNIFE SWEEP
PC Mistry, PCSO Oleh and officers from Spinney Hills beat conducted a knife sweep at Gwendolen Gardens within Coleman beat. There were no knifes found during the sweep.
NAGAR KIRTAN
SGT Hall and neighbourhood officers took part in the Nagar Kirtan, celebrating Gurpurab ‘the birth of the first Sikh Guru Nanak’.
