#YouSaid - What matters to you

November has seen a couple of focus weeks highlighting Knife Crime and Antisocial Behaviour (ASB). Your beat team have been out supporting these weeks. Patrols have been made in relation to Operation Sceptre which focuses on Knifecrime.  A school visit was

carried out on Tuesday 19th where a meeting was held with safeguarding partners and the head teacher. ASB and reporting methods along with the support we can offer was discussed. Foot patrols have taken place in Bottesford at various times by the beat officer PC Daley,

PCSO Gray and PCSO Tailby.

Tuesday19th saw our attendance at a Parish Council meeting in Buckminster. A number of policing matters and local concerns were discussed and among those discussions, topics included antisocial behaviour, un-taxed vehicles and antisocial use of motor vehicles

and mechanically propelled vehicles

Our 3 priorities have not changed and remain as Road Safety, Farming Equipment thefts and rural crime and lastly Vehicle Crime. We

are pleased to update you that so far in November no vehicle crimes have been reported.

#WeDid - What we are doing

Road Safety

PC Daley and PCSO Gray along with PC Tranter from the Rural South and PC O’Dwyer from response supported the Remembrance

Parade and service in Waltham on the Wolds. This was a well organised event by the Parish Council with a good turn out of villagers.

A few cyclists were kept from disrupting the service who had come through one of the road closures. An ambulance was also safely

let through with the officers ensuring pedestrian safety for those on the road.

We have had 3 minor road traffic incidents, 2 in the Scalford area, one on King Street leading out of the village involving 2 vehicles and

a further 2 vehicle collision on the junction of Landyke Lane and Clawson Lane. A third one involving a single vehicle on Belvoir Road

near to the Castle. This involved a provisional licence holder driving without supervision and leaving the carriageway on a corner,

narrowly missing a tree. The driver has been reported for the offences.
