Introduction

 

 

Welcome to my monthly update for the residents and communities of the Anstey, Cropston, Thurcaston and Newtown Linford Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.

Our New Priorites are as follows: 

 

1. The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB in Anstey.

 

2. The beat team aim to tackle speeding through Anstey, Thurcaston, Cropston and Newtown Linford

 

3. Various road safety issues around the villages.

 

 

#WeDid - What we going to focus on

Over the next three months we will focus on the following priorities in the following areas:

 

Priority 1: The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB in Anstey.

 

You said: You have concerns around antisocial behaviour and drug use in the following areas – 

 

Both allotments in Anstey

Papermill Close and neighbouring recreational ground in Anstey

Mitchell’s Field in Anstey

Bradgate Park

 

Priority 2: The beat team aim to tackle speeding through Anstey, Thurcaston, Cropston and Newtown Linford and in particular – 

 

Cropston Road, Anstey

Bradgate Road, Anstey

Bradgate Road, Newtown Linford

Markfield Lane, Newtown Linford

Leicester Road, Thurcaston

Mill Road, Thurcaston

Station Road, Cropston

 

You said: You are concerned about vehicles speeding in all four villages.

 

Priority 3: Various road safety issues around the villages.

 

You said: You are concerned about parking issues (especially around school times), obstructions in Anstey (in particular parking on Cropston Road), vehicles jumping red lights in the Nook and people using electric scooters in public places.

1330 -1500 - Newtown Linford (Police Box, Bradgate Road)
