Oakham may have felt as though it saw little Police presence yesterday evening … but that couldn’t be further from the truth! 

PC Spruce and PC Angel were out and about in plain clothes conducting an intelligence led proactive Policing operation to tackle community concerns.

We covered over 5 miles on foot and then went out stopping suspicious vehicles in a plain car equipped with blues and twos!

A message to the crims – next time you think that you can hide in the shadows, you might want to reconsider, because we might be there to greet you… with handcuffs.

Oakham has ASB and drug activity as two of its Neighbourhood priorities, utilising plain clothes and a plain vehicle occasionally does have its benefits with enforcing these issues.
