Riverside Beat weekly snap shot 📸
Bike registers were held at Nelson Mandela Park and twice on the DMU campus. Plenty of people signed up and hopefully awareness raised around cycle thefts. 🚲
Our PCSO's were out visiting residents and businesses to help keep their properties safe and secure. Crime prevention advice passed, especially around keeping your windows and doors locked. 🔐
PC Clark and PC Lee spotted a male involved in drug dealing. He tried to get away on an illegal e-bike but rode down a dead end. He tried to throw the bike at an officer, but was quickly apprehended and arrested for possession with intent to supply a controlled substance. ❗
Two of our officers were marked up for court duties. Occasionally, officers need to attend court to provide evidence for cases they've previously dealt with. The case is still ongoing so no result as of yet... 🤚🏼
PC Hegarty has assisted Interpol with enquiries to identify and locate a person of interest. 🫱🏼🫲🏻
As always, the beat team have been working on the beat priorities in between all of this too. Please visit the Leicestershire Police website to find out more about what they are!
