Cannabis factories are becoming more and more common in our communities, they could be put in place in a disused commercial building or inside a rented house.  There are some tell tale signs to look out for that could indicate a cannabis factory is in a building. The below is not an exhaustive list but are some signs to look out for:

1- Windows and curtains drawn all the time, even in very hot weather.

2- Comings and goings from the address late at night but not during the daytime.

3- Sounds of fans running from the address.

4- Snow or frost on the roof during cold weather.

5- Condensation on the windows.

6- A sweet or sickly smell around the property.

7- Discarded plant pots and fertilizer bags in the rear garden.

8- Signs of electricity boxes being tampered with.

If you have suspicions around a property you can either contact Leicestershire Police directly via 101 or an online report.  Alternatively you can contact crime stoppers anonymously.
