Dear South Leicester Resident You are receiving the following email as a resident living on the Freemen Police Beat.
Based on data collated from the “your views” surveys, beat knowledge, local intelligence and problems that are repeatedly reported the following have been identified as issues that are affecting people within the community the most.
These will therefore form our beat priorities for the second quarter of the year with the local team ensuring these issues are focused on, targeted and in course acted upon/dealt with, we will work closely with members of the local community and partner agencies to do so.
More details on the beat priorities and how the local team intend to tackle them as below.
Priority: 1 Drugs. Tackling drug use and supply has been a priority for a while and this is going to continue, as part of the clear hold build/safer saffron initiative officers will be out on patrol, will work to gain information, intelligence, execute warrants and bring offenders in front of the courts when the evidence allows. A second property in the Saffron Lane estate was recently issued with a closure notice after it was discovered the residents were breaching a tenancy agreement after reports of repeat ASB and drug related activity at the address.
Priority: 2 General ASB. You have told us that general ASB across beat continues, often involving young people. As the lighter nights, half term and the school summer holidays approach we will be working hard to patrol hotspot areas, work with the local community/partner agencies to identify, educate, and deal with those involved.
Priority: 3 Specific ASB. ASB in the Old Saffron Lane, Maris Lane, St Mary’s open space and around the Saffron Lane Stadium has increased based on information from the local community and reports to us since the lighter nights have started to draw in. Tackling ASB in these areas will be our aim over the next three months with patrols and partnership working to be carried out to prevent/deal with issues.
If you are being affected by any of these issues or have information that may assist the local team then please do report it to us online, by contacting 101 or by speaking to an officer from the team at one of the upcoming beat surgeries, please always report any immediate emergencies by calling 999.
Kind regards. | ||||
