Dear Neighbourhood Link Member, Here is a update on neighbourhood policing in the NL63 neighbourhood. Crime Prevention Advice As the warmer months approach, the beat team are aware that nuisance motorbikes become an issue for residents, the beat team are aware of these issues and conduct regular high visibility patrols around affected areas to deter this behaviour. If you have spotted a motor/cross bike causing anti-social behaviour, you can report it to us as long as it has a VRM. The beat team unfortunately struggle to progress reports when bikes do not have VRMS, but we understand this is usually the case. What have the neighbourhood team been doing? On the 08/04/25, PCSO 6078 Mia attended the Shelthorpe residents association meeting to have a chat with the residents of Shelthorpe, this allows the beat team to gain a good idea of what is going on that we may not see, lets us know if there's anything we need to improve on, any issues, and a way for us to also let Shelthorpe residents know what's going on our end. Thank you to all who attended! The beat team have been busy working on our beat priorities, which are currently drug dealing, parking around schools, and retail theft. Relevant patrols are conducted by the beat team at various times to gather intelligence and ensure everything is in order. This is just a selection of what the neighbourhood team have been doing, we have also been completing crime investigations, visible patrolling including 'hot spot' areas and engaging with residents and businesses in the area. Upcoming Neighbourhood Consultations PCSO 6078 Mia will be at the beavers at Woodbrook Vale school tonight (10/04/25) from 18:00PM 20/04/25- Beat surgery at Costa, Allendale Road, 09:00-10:00AM- PCSO 6869 Neighbourhood consultations are a good opportunity to discuss your neighbourhood concerns and meet your local policing team.
