Good afternoon all,

Tuesday morning we received reports of crime within the village of Desford with vehicles and garages being entered by unknown person(s) and items stolen.

Whilst this appears to be a isolated night, we would like to remind residents to remove items where possible from vehicles (not leaving valuable items on show) and check that vehicles, outbuildings and homes are locked and secure. This also includes any access to gardens such as gates being secured with suitable locks.

We have as a beat team have given more presence in Desford and surrounding villages over the last two days throughout the evening and night in order to prevent further crime occurring and will continue to do so where possible.
