Police: Priority Update - Rural Crime and Vehicle Crime

Late night Rural Crime patrols were on the agenda this evening ๐ŸŒƒ

Rural Crime and Vehicle Crime are priorities for the Rutland North beat and unfortunately, we have seen a couple of recent thefts from farm yards, as well as a couple of reports of suspicious vehicles in the rural villages ๐Ÿšœ

So, tonight I was in and around those remote rural villages targeting exactly that, stopping suspicious vehicles and providing high visibility reassurance to the community ๐Ÿš”  (I only stopped for 2 photos, but I visited many more villages).

I got interrupted a couple of times to attend emergency immediate responses that were closeby ๐Ÿšจ  one of which sadly, was a deceased deer on the A1. If you havenโ€™t read the post I shared on our Facebook page earlier in the week with advice on deer and road safety, please scroll back on our Facebook page to have a read ๐ŸฆŒ

I then showed some late-night visibility to our towns of Uppingham and Oakham, it was good to see people out enjoying themselves responsibly, prior to returning to the station to clean my boots and finish my paperwork ๐Ÿš”

I wish you all a safe and enjoyable Easter bank holiday weekend, (please spare a thought if you will for those of us who are working... night shifts for me) ๐Ÿ‡ ๐Ÿซ

Take care,

PC 1049 Jake Spruce ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
