Following on from our Signs installed on Diseworth Road last week, further signage has been installed today which gives the Police an immediate power to seize any vehicle used anti-socially without warning.

Q: What is Anti-Social Vehicle Use

A: This is defined as driving in a manner which is causing, is likely to cause or has been causing, Alarm Distress or Annoyance to members of the public.

Q: But what if the signs are removed or damaged

A: Photographic evidence of the installation of the signs has been obtained and further to this, the installation and presence of them has been broadcast to the public via both social media, neighbourhood link and also via our newsletters.

With the above in mind, the power to seize still remains regardless if the signs are removed or damaged.

Q: What about the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO)

A: All seized vehicle details will be passed to The North West Leicestershire District Council who may take action utilising the current PSPO which is in place and covers this area.

We will NOT tolerate this behaviour and please believe me when I say, we WILL seize your vehicle if you use it Anti-Socially
