Dear Neighbourhood Link Member, Here is a update on neighbourhood policing in the NL63 neighbourhood. Crime Prevention Advice As schools break up for summer, we understand everyone is going away or has a holiday booked. Please ensure if you are going away you take steps to keep your property safe and deter potential thieves.Keep windows and doors secure and lockedInvest in a light switch timer, these can also be acquired at any of our beat surgeries for free.Consider asking a neighbour to take your post in.Ensure you have suitable lighting outside your house or a sensored outdoor light.Don't leave valuables on show.Consider investing in window alarms, these are also supplied at any of our beat surgeries. What have the neighbourhood team been doing? PCSO 6078 Mia and PC 1517 Jimmy attended a patch walk on the 25/06/25 with the local council to addres issues on the NL63 beat and come up with ways to combat them.PCSO 6078 Mia held a beat surgery at The Arc on the 10/06/25 to engage with local residents and chat to them about any concerns they have. This is just a selection of what the neighbourhood team have been doing, we have also been completing crime investigations, visible patrolling including 'hot spot' areas and engaging with residents and businesses in the area. Upcoming Neighbourhood Consultations A beat surgery is being held at St Marys' church in Nanpantan on the 01/07/25 by PCSO Mia, keep your eyes peels on here for a confirmed time! See you all soon, enjoy the weather, and be safe! :)Neighbourhood consultations are a good opportunity to discuss your neighbourhood concerns and meet your local policing team.
