New Beat Priorities

Good morning from the Forest Beat Team 👮

Thank you for your valuable input through our Neighbourhood Link and community engagement events. Based on your feedback, we’ve identified new priorities that reflect what matters most to you 👍

We will be focusing on these priorities throughout July to September, ensuring they guide our actions and initiatives during this period.

  • Drug dealing – Hart Drive
  • We are aware of ongoing concerns regarding suspected drug dealing, and the associated anti-social behaviour in the Hart Drive area of Measham.

We will conduct regular patrols to try to identify individuals involved in drug-related activity. We will work with partner agencies to gather intelligence to support enforcement.

  • ASB connected with open water spaces.
  • With the arrival of warmer weather and the school holiday periods, the risks associated with water related incidents in our lakes, rivers and reservoirs increases.

We will conduct frequent patrols and will work with partners to encourage safety in and around water and urge parents to deter children from unsafe areas and hazards. Impacts such as cold-water shock, strong currents and submerged items can lead to serious injury. Prime areas for us will be the Moira/Donisthorpe Canal and Albert Village Lake.

  • ASB at Hicks Lodge resulting in damage to public bike trails.
  • We are aware of ongoing anti-social behaviour involving e-bikes at Hicks Lodge in Moira. These activities have led to damage to the trail and children’s play equipment, in particular the new peddle and play trails which were launched in March 2025. This behaviour also causes a danger to members of the public who wish to visit the area.

We will conduct regular patrols of the area working with staff members and the public who use these fabulous facilities. We will look to gather intelligence to identify offenders and section 59 notices will be issued where appropriate

    Kind regards
