Weekly Update on Bardon Beat Priorities 

1.Speeding 

Officers conducted speed enforcement operations in the areas of Thringstone (Loughborough Road) and Ibstock (Station Road). In total 190 vehicles were observed with 3 drivers given words of advice and 1 driver being issued with a TOR (Traffic Offence Report) for traveling at 38mph in a 30mph zone.

Further traffic monitoring conducted on Sweptstone Road, Heather and Victoria Road, Ellistown.

2. Parking Outside School 

Throughout the week beat officers have conducted numerous parking patrols of schools within the Bardon Beat, (Hugglescote Community Primary School, Ellistown Community Primary School and Ibstock Community College). A number of drivers were spoken too and issued words of advice due to their manner of parking. If you are a blue badge holder, please remember to have them on view if parking on double yellow lines.
Whist officers were conducting parking patrols outside of Hugglescote Community Primary School, a driver was issued with a TOR (Traffic Offence Report) this was for driving whilst using a mobile phone.

3. Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) 

Numerous patrols have been conducted in Greenhill, Agar Nook and Thringstone, with no issues to report. Advice on how to report Anti-Social Behaviour can be found on our force website, https://leicspolice.link/0XIJ3 .
