Proactive Patrols

Foot Patrol

Yesterday morning I made the most of the sunshine with some proactive foot patrols around Ibstock – clocking up just over 12,000 steps in the process!

During patrols, I dealt with several issues across the village:

Parking Concerns

Three individuals were spoken to and given words of advice regarding parking on double yellow lines, blocking pavements and making deliveries whilst parked on double yellow lines.

Driving Standards

Two further drivers were advised about their manner of driving.

Anti-Social Behaviour

Known ASB hotspots were patrolled, and two youths were given words of advice around entering an abandoned building containing dangerous materials.

Community Engagement

It was also great to have several positive conversations with members of the public and representatives from the parish council.
