Speed Monitoring in Asfordby

Several residents have recently complained about the speeding along Main Street in Asfordby. Road safety is one of the Rural South's 3 main beat priorities, so this afternoon I conducted a speed monitoring operation with the speed gun. During a 30 minute period, 105 vehicles were monitored, 3 of which were driving well in excess of the 30mph speed limit. I have their details and will be in touch with them in due course.
It is the beat's team's intention to conduct more of these speed monitoring operations across the beat as we see time and again that speed is a significant factor in road traffic collisions.
