Mountsorrel – Neighbourhood Policing Update Abandoned Vehicle Earlier this week, officers attended a report of an abandoned vehicle within Mountsorrel. Following checks at the scene, the vehicle was identified as being suspected of displaying cloned registration plates. As it was believed to be linked to criminal activity, the vehicle was seized to prevent further use and to allow for further investigation. Anti‑Social Behaviour We have received a report of anti‑social behaviour within the village. Officers have spoken directly with the person who reported the incident to discuss their concerns and provide reassurance. Regular patrols will be carried out in the area where the incident occurred to help prevent further issues. Shop Theft Enquiries have been completed in relation to a report of shop theft. The investigation remains ongoing, and officers continue to follow up all available lines of enquiry. Patrols Targeted patrols have been carried out in identified hotspot locations across the village as part of our ongoing work to deter criminal activity, address local concerns, and maintain a visible police presence. Neighbour Issues Today, officers are completing a joint visit with our housing partners in relation to an ongoing neighbour issue.
