Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing Team Update
Here is a summary of activity carried out by your local policing team over the past week:
Cannabis Cultivation Discovered Officers executed a warrant and located a cannabis grow within the Westcotes area. This type of activity is often linked to wider criminality, and action has been taken to disrupt those involved.
Road Traffic Collision – Narborough Road We attended a road traffic collision on Narborough Road. We continue to encourage all road users to remain vigilant.
Bike Register Event – Bede Park We will be hosted a bike marking and registration event at Bede Park. Registering your bicycle is a proven method of reducing theft and increasing the likelihood of recovery if stolen. The process is quick, free, and open to all.
Beat Surgery – Salvation Army A beat surgery was held at the Salvation Army, providing residents with an opportunity to raise concerns and speak directly with officers. These engagements are valuable in helping us understand and respond to local priorities.
Community Engagement & St George’s Day Officers have continued proactive engagement with our diverse community groups, alongside recognising and celebrating local St George’s Day events.
Support for Vulnerable Individuals We have been working alongside partner agencies to provide safeguarding and wraparound support for two vulnerable females within the beat area.
If you have any concerns or information you wish to share, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
