Ashby de la Zouch

Officers responded to a report of shop theft in Ashby de la Zouch yesterday.

A vehicle linked to the incident was quickly located, however the suspects made off on foot. Following a chase, two males were detained and arrested and have since been taken into custody.

The vehicle they were travelling in was recovered and later confirmed to be stolen. Stolen property was also found inside and seized.

During the arrest, one of our officers was assaulted. Thankfully, she is doing well and is already back on duty today, continuing to keep the public safe.
