Mountsorrel Beat Team Weekly Update This week has been a busy one for the Mountsorrel Beat Team, combining operational duties, training and proactive patrols within the village.
On Bank Holiday Monday, one of the Beat Officers was paired with a Response colleague and assisted with a number of incidents across Charnwood and the wider Leicestershire area:
🔹 Coalville - Officers attended a report of criminal damage. Following enquiries and discussions with the suspect, the matter was resolved at the scene.
🔹 Ashby-de-la-Zouch - Officers attended a report of ladders obstructing the road. Upon arrival, the ladders had already been removed and there was no further risk to road users.
🔹 Queniborough - Officers attended a report of a break-in at a building site. After speaking with witnesses and carrying out enquiries, it was established that no theft had taken place.
Both members of the Beat Team have also spent three days attending training to enhance their knowledge and skills, helping them to continue providing the best possible service to our communities.
Towards the end of the week, the team returned to their neighbourhood policing duties, carrying out speed checks on Halstead Road as part of our ongoing work around local beat priorities. We are pleased to report that no drivers required words of advice and no tickets were issued during the checks.
The team has also conducted high-visibility patrols throughout Mountsorrel, providing reassurance to residents and maintaining a visible presence within the community.
We will continue to focus on the issues that matter most to local residents and remain committed to keeping Mountsorrel a safe place to live, work and visit. Mountsorrel Beat Team | ||
