Riverside Beat Team - Weekly Round-Up

It's been another busy week for the Riverside Beat Team, with officers continuing to support the community, protect vulnerable people, and tackle issues affecting local residents.

This week, officers have been working closely with a vulnerable victim of cuckooing, providing support and safeguarding while addressing concerns around exploitation. Officers also attended a separate address alongside Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) colleagues in relation to another suspected cuckooing incident, ensuring appropriate action and support measures were put in place.

The team has also taken positive action to address anti-social behaviour by issuing an Acceptable Behaviour Contract (ABC) warning letter to a resident following reports of ongoing issues at a premises.

In addition to neighbourhood policing duties, officers have supported response colleagues by assisting at a road traffic collision (RTC) and carrying out prisoner transport, demonstrating the team's flexibility in supporting wider policing demands.

Our PCSOs have also been busy this week, attending a local church fundraising event and engaging with members of the community. They have also been supporting Project SEARCH, an excellent initiative that helps young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) develop valuable workplace skills and gain employment opportunities through on-the-job training. Participants complete placements with employers including Hotel Voco and the Leicester Royal Infirmary, helping them build confidence, experience, and pathways into future careers. 🌟👏
