Yesterday morning, PCSO Mary and PC Ryan were carrying out high-visibility patrols in Ashby when they spotted a driver suspected to be driving whilst disqualified.

After a swift turnaround to follow the vehicle, the driver came to a natural stop and the occupant spoken to. Checks were carried out, which confirmed their suspicions that the driver was indeed disqualified.

Further enquiries also revealed that the vehicle was being driven without valid insurance. As a result, the vehicle was seized and appropriate action will be taken.

Another example of proactive patrols helping to keep our roads safe and take uninsured and disqualified drivers off the road.
