🚔Riverside Beat Team Weekly Round-Up 🚔
What a week it's been for the Riverside Beat Team! From supporting students and tackling crime to working with partners and keeping Leicester's city centre safe, our officers have been busy making a difference across the beat. 💙
🎓Supporting Students & Preventing Crime - With the darker evenings approaching, our officers have been visiting student accommodation across the Riverside area, offering crime prevention advice and practical tools to help students stay safe and protect their property. A little prevention goes a long way!
🌟Welcoming the Next Generation - PC Fabian and PCSO Hafsa were delighted to support Project Search this week, helping welcome their newest interns. We wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter and look forward to seeing what they achieve.
🚓Operation Clover - Our team joined colleagues carrying out high-visibility patrols in Leicester city centre as part of Operation Clover, providing reassurance to the public following the end of term in local schools. Officers have been engaging with young people, businesses and visitors to help keep the city a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
🔍Investigating Burglary Offences - PCSOs Hafsa, Phil, V and Jasmine have been hard at work conducting CCTV enquiries and preserving scenes linked to residential and commercial burglaries across Riverside and the city centre. Their work plays a crucial role in helping identify offenders and securing the best possible evidence.
🌃Keeping Leicester Safe After Dark - PCs Fabian, Callum and Merryn have been out supporting Leicester's night-time economy this weekend, providing a visible presence, assisting those in need and helping ensure people can enjoy their night out safely.
🎓🤝Working Together for Student Safety - PC Jess has spent a busy week working alongside De Montfort University Security, supporting student safety initiatives, providing reassurance on campus and assisting with a number of investigations across the city centre.
👮Teamwork in Action - PCs Merryn, Jess and Callum also assisted CID colleagues with the arrest of a male in connection with several serious offences, including domestic abuse. This reflects the team's ongoing commitment to protecting vulnerable people and bringing offenders to justice.
