South Leicester Police - Washbrook Nature Reserve.

Dear South Leicester Resident.

You are receiving the following message as you are a resident living or working on the area covered by the Freemen Police beat team.

Environmental rangers from the Leicester City Council have recently conducted work in the Washbrook Nature Reserve (Knighton Lane East) all aimed at making the open space cleaner, tidier and safer. 

Areas have been cleared for better visibility along walking paths and woodland has been cleared to make the area safer for all users. Overgrown and dry brambles have also been cleared to reduce fire hazards, the work has been conducted alongside a group of volunteers working in partner with the environmental team and the local park warden.

It is my hope that this area is used by all in the community safely and sensible, the area is patrolled as part of our current beat priorities to reduce anti-social behaviour with this set to continue as we approach bonfire night.
